Following the talks, take part in a 90-minute walking tour through the city led by lighting experts David Bird, Tim Hunt, and Landon Bannister. This tour, based on research led by ARUP, delves into how specific lighting elements affect the perception of safety in Melbourne’s urban spaces. The talk has led to feedback from the general public, policy makers, and designers shaping lighting design in public spaces like Port Philip. Discover how these insights have established a practical framework for enhancing safety in cities after dark.
