“When we looking into the night sky, we look into the past.
What a pity if we can’t see the majesty of the universe in all its glorious splendour because we have polluted our skies with artificial light!
We must act now to protect our dark skies!"
Adjunct Associate Professor
“We are privileged to live in a country that has vast areas of dark sky - we should strive to preserve and celebrate them.
Excessive light pollution is avoidable and we should be incorporating light reducing planning into new domestic and public building and infrastructure projects as well as seeking to reduce light pollution from existing facilities where possible. “
